Monday in Florida Reflections
My new beginnings are fantastic! Once I get over having to work and learning how to relax. I am learning. It is funny as I remember how hard it was to achieve the strict regime of getting up, going to bed early, taking on responsibilities I once only dreamed of and now achieving. Then having to relearn how to relax. Interesting problem to have after all these years.
Past Meets Future
I achieved all my dreams and what I wanted to accomplish. How to relax and have fun is a learning process. The process to not worry about too many deadlines except bills I need to pay. I chuckle as I think, "today I could read, paint, draw, take a walk, play with the cats, go back to sleep or just watch t.v in bed with my significant other". I CAN really do this! Cool.
I miss all my students and hope to reconnect with them in the next few years. I would like to think that I have made a difference in their lives. Many great memories as I complete my scrap book of pictures, comments and ideas they shared with me. My coffee cups and other gifts will always bring a smile of good times. The great retirement party will bring a smile to my face along with warm thoughts.
Spending time with my first love right now is wonderful! It is a miracle. I would never dream this would happen. Love it! Do not give up on your dreams as they do come true. Song: "Over the Rainbow" in the movie Wizard of Oz is one of our favorites. The singer from Hawaii that just passed away sings this song best. You can see and hear it on Youtube.
Today, just drinking coffee and feeling blessed. Family, friends and pets. Nice. Thank you God for all these blessings and more, thank you God for all the small things in my life along with the big things. Thank you God for ALL the miracles over the past year and those you will deliver in the coming months. Your still small voice is loud and clear as I follow your path.
Ps 100 is the one set of verses that come to mind. Thank you God as we keep you center of our life, not listening to man but YOUR voice. The God of the universe as you guide and direct us. Amen! May our lives reflect who you are and what you do still today.
